The way you keep digging up your land, it reminds me of "God's Little Acre" Your wife had better be afraid, soon she will be sitting in her house surrounded by water, and you'll still be moving dirt from one hole to another. I really think you need to get a new hobby, something a little less disruptive, or you can keep digging new tributaries, and set up your own "Deliverance" fun park. We had a some scrub pine trees fall in our back yard the year before last during an ice storm, so I've heard the cracking sound. The trees were very tall, and very close to our house. It was not a very pleasant sound to hear when the electricity was out, along with the heat. It took two months to get the limbs and large trees cleared away in the adjoining neighborhoods. I'm glad that none of the trees hit your house. I'd like to see the pictures of the aftermath of the storm..it sounds like you had a bad one.
