Andreas: Yes, it's stupid to hold back a feature that you can ship for free. The only explanation I'd think of is that AMD is afraid that OEMs would use "normal" Palominos instead of mobiles one for the laptops instead of the higher priced mobile chips. But since mobile Palominos are also rated for a lower standard voltage than the desktop parts the OEMs had to sacrifice power consumption. My guess would be that AMD has been waiting for their (long overdue) SFF packaging (and sockets) to come through. -fyo
