Dan3, Looks like the easy money is slipping away from Intel as more and more areas lose their monopoly margins and become commodity grinds. Bill

"when will AMD's Alchemy Au1000 start showing up in these battles?" It won't. While it could be used, it just doesn't have the right mix of peripherals so it would have a higher cost and higher power consumption that the ones being discussed. Now they claim to have one aimed at the handheld market in design, but there is no release date being bandied about.
