If we are talking transparency I would like to see a lot more transparency with respect to insider trading. I believe that any insider transaction should be reported by the company on its website within 10 days. any transaction involving shares should be reported these includes put call collars, putting up shares as collateral for loans, sales or purchases directly to or from the company, investments in company partnerships etc. RE TYCO split IMHO there must be some which benefits to management that have not been disclosed- have they mentioned whether there are any perks that management receives as a result of this restructuring? My guess is that some golden parachutes come into play.
