We have a ton of Americans working extremely hard on "shell games" not true productivity (executives, politicians, accountants, auditors, marketers, lawyers, analysts, media, etc). The future is there, but it has been derailed by marketing "hype" and accounting "horsesh*t" that has derailed the market. Americans have been "lulled" into thinking that the way to riches is being "cute" not "hard work" and "honesty" which our "forefathers" taught us so vividly. As Edward Demming (the great quality management guru) stated on numerous occasions the existing short-term "MBA" mentality will destroy this nation (i.e., business is nothing more than a "shell" game).

rigt, the executive suite at enron was really working their collective asses off. you need to splash your face with cold water and wake up from dreamland. the last five years were nothing but a period where the insiders fleeced the gullible public.
