When you go back to the beginning of the thread, one realizes all that George has been through and accomplished in a few short years. He has had people beating on him from all sides, including his own party. George has had to put up with mean accusations, about himself and his family. Then the election with the Gore people trying to pull another Daley fast one, only this election wasn't in Chicago. He made it through that fiasco, only to have Clinton hang around the White House and steal everything in it and Air Force One on his way out. He has had the Democrats blocking every person who has been put before them for a cabinet position, and Daschle not allowing the names out of committee for judgeships. On September 11th, he came before the nation, and all Americans realized just how strong a President we had elected. It has been a long time, but George has stood the test very well.
