Ted Re...Back then, we had reason to believe that some of that money was finding its way back to bin Laden. For that reason, he certainly should have been watched and I could see even closing him down for a short period of time and scrutinizing his books but to keep him closed for over a month when he was more than willing to provide the documentation that the FBI wanted within a few days of the closure seems unreasonable.<<<<<<<<<

Well that certainly is different from what you said 3 days ago. Here is that part of the post.

You understand, of course, that that does not apply to any posts re Mani who I believe is an American citizen nor the posts related to an American in Seattle who got his business shut down because the FBI fukked up and thought money from his business was going to bin Laden. <<<<<<<

You will note that 3 days ago you said the FBI fukked up by investigating this guy. Now you say the FBI should have investigated, but should have done it quicker. Considering all of the investigations the FBI had going on at that time; 30 days seems like a reasonable amount of time.

In your original statements back in Oct. you stated that the FBI was profiling this guy and shouldn't have investigated this guy at all because he was an AMerican; and then you claimed the FBI had no right to close him down. The FBI closes down a lot of businesses for investigations, not just Arab Americans, such as drug runners, bank swindlers etc. If you were against abuse of power by the FBI, why not rail against any closing of any nationalities business for any crime; not just when it happens to your friend.

I have said it before and I will say it again. The Arab- American community could have avoided a lot of suspicion cast upon them by taking a strong stand against Bin Laden and all those who sympathized with Al Quaeda such as Rachman, who preached revolution at a NY mosque for yrs, and nobody turned him in.
