I'm wondering if the VIX was really that complacent. I don't follow these things that closely, but a 9.5% move in the VIX vs. a less than 2% decline in the broader market doesn't seem totally complacent to me. Is that type of move totally out of line? The VXN's 5% move vs over 3% decline in the NDX, however, is pretty complacent fer sure.

Semis finally sold off some. Book to bill tonight could give a bounce, I suppose, but maybe money just goes from semis into something else for a little bit.
