Tony,

That is a good point regarding Davis and his ability, or lack thereof, of properly utilizing draft picks. Irregardless, the Bucs are not necessarily a young team, either, and giving up that much for a coach who they could've had the next year is definitely questionable.

There's no doubt in my mind that Gruden is an Offensive Genus who is an effective head coach. Look @ Norv Turner; another brilliant Offensive Coordinator who is a horrible head coach.

I still say that the Bucs gave up too much for a coach who would refuse to resign with the Raiders. Even Schottenheimer was available and I believe his coaching style would've done wonders for the Bucs. Now they have Gruden who will try to "force-fit" his offensive style into an offense which is the complete opposite.

I believe it was a bad move for the Bucs. On the other hand, it is probably a non-event for the Raiders. Perhaps the Chargers might be a contender in the next couple of years; however, I would prefer a root canal rather than watching Marty's Offense.
