Tom, there is a hand held application that needs more speed? I must be mistaken then.

But wait a minute now, do I see a word “laptop” in your comment? Difficult to focus... better take my Dr. J mask off... Oh, yes, there it is: L-A-P-T-O-P. Tom, why not to stop the daytrading for a while and go see some real people? How many do you see lugging around laptops? How big a fraction of one percent?

Tom,

<< When I link my phone to my laptop in the airport I would very much like to get speed even greater than my 14.4 kbps which is already 50% faster than your GSM phone at 9.6. >>

... and 50% to 75% slower (depending on GSM carrier) than a Nokia Communicator 9100 or 9200 without linking to a laptop (why lug one) using GSM HSCSD at either 28.8 kbps (old coding) or 43.2 kpbs (new coding) or a Nokia 6210 or 8310 "linked" without a cord to a laptop with a Bluetooth card or on of several Ericsson models like the T68 doing the same thing. <g>

Best,

- Eric -
