I was told by one of my spot memory vendors that most DRAM fabs around the world took off 2 weeks for Chinese New Year irregardless if the fab was in US, Korea or Europe.

Inventory levels are too high, for example DRAM spot market prices only up 3-4% over last 4 weeks, for major mfgs to look for additional equipment deliveries right now.
