How about I look for an honest analysis of what you are posting. And that is what I am giving you.

Of course an honest analysis is a good idea. However an honest analysis can lead to different possible conclusions. You seem focused on the negative possibilities right now.

What you plainly said was, that we do not arrest people for having dissenting political opinions. Which implies that I think we should.

I said that the threat was mainly from people who have leftist opinions and work within the political system. For that reason we would not focus on arrests or military force. The implication could be either that you think that we should arrest people for being leftists or that you thought there was more imediate and perhaps violent threat. To the extent that I was implying anything it was the second, but really in that paragraph I wasn't even talking about you at all. The statement was made to you because you asked me -

"how stong of an argument can you put forth to persuade me there is a difference between socialism and communism? "

I provided a minaml argument (mainly because Neo had already provided a good answer) then I went on to add that I didn't think that was the important distinction, that what was really important is the fact that we are not facing a violent threat that would require arrests or warfare from leftists but rather a threat that works within the system. I then added that since it works within the system arrests are not needed or wanted. I fail to see how that implies that I thought you would want to round up Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy and some of the posters of the Left Wing Porch. You seem to have been looking for a negative interpretation. I find if you look for one that you can usually find it but it may not be accurate.

Now, instead of admitting to your mistake, you are accusing me of being dishonest. LOL!

This is getting tireing. I am not accusing you of being dishonest. I don't think I ever have made such an accusation to you at any time about any subject. I did accuse you (at least indirectly) of being overally negative, and I did say that you where mistaken, but being negative and mistaken doesn't make you dishonest.
