Seeds of Fire: China And The Story Behind The Attack On America
by Gordon Thomas
amazon.com

Reviewer: A reader from Cambridge, MA United States
This book will come as a shock to most people. For many years, the conventional wisdom has been that the relationship between the P.R.C. and the U.S. is, despite occasional disagreements, fundamentally sound. *Seeds of Fire* presents unpleasant facts contradicting this view. Mr. Gordon Thomas, the author of this book, is not selling a theory but instead calling attention to evidence, much of which comes from his extensive contacts throughout the intelligence community. He has marshalled his facts carefully, presents them responsibly and cautiously, and offers a wealth of soberly documented data. That data describes in detail the efforts of China to become the world's next superpower and Amercia's primary enemy. I read *Seeds of Fire* with great care. I came away impressed. I was impressed with how professionally and objectively Mr. Thomas has assembled and presented his information. Although a veteran intelligence analyst, Mr. Thomas concentrates on giving the general, non-professional reader a coherent story and enough information to present a clear picture without unduly burdening him with technical detail. This book powerfully challenges the conventional wisdom on China. *Seeds of Fire* puts the facts on the record.

We do not have a missile defense system right now. If we got hit by missiles, took out a bunch of our cities, you know what, we may not even know it was the communist who sent them.

I agree that missiles are a threat and that we should develop a defense against them. However I think we would know who launched them.
