EP,

Interesting article on McKinley, EV8, Madison etc.

Yes it is. Conclusion that Alpha EV8 would have been the best, but that isn't what always survives. I was trying to find out if DeMone is British as his writing sounds that way, and came across this list of publications below. DeMone is British, right? Oh jeez, check the one just before DeMone. I quoted a droid!

Computer Hardware Sites Ace's Hardware: One of the sharper hardware sites out there. Unlike, say, CNet, which seems to be an outlet for press releases. Interesting news, good reviews and analysis. They also have a BBS with smart folks on it.

Anandtech: One of the two biggest hardware sites out there. Anand sounds like a nice guy. They are very thorough. They might not be quite as badass as Ace's, but they do a good job nonetheless.

Ars Technica: They're not a biggie, so they don't get the freebies. Which is really too bad, because they do a better job then most. They wander away from just computer hardware into other territory, but they're not annoying about it like certain other sites.

Thresh's Firing Squad: Not that Thresh actually does anything for them. And they ain't so good with the hardware. They should stick to games. But they sure are prolific.

JC's PC News and Links: Simple and to the point. He covers PC-related stuff. There's an AMD slant, but then, AMD rocks.

Real World Tech: News and industry analysis from Dean Kent, hardware insight from Paul DeMone. They know their shit.

Tom's Hardware: The other of the two biggest hardware sites.Tom's an arrogant blowhard. Which makes for entertaining reading. And he does manage to score the k3wl g34r.
