Oh yeah - 36 bit addressing !

But the last 4 bits require the use of segment registers - right?

Shouldn't hey be able to use up to 68,719,476,736 bytes with all 36 bits?

I've posted before that X86-32 supports segmented addressing and that Windows advanced server supports 64 gigabytes of physical memory. But when you have all that memory on one shared bus, the system stands a good chance of just sitting there and churning, instead of doing more work than than a less expensive system with fewer processors.
