Greenie, The only way for pricing to firm up is "depletion" and demand. I think depletion is bigger problem than generally realized

RUSSIA GIVES FINGER TO OPEC Looks like price war is about to break at a time when constraint needs to be adheared to for Crude n9ot to collapse. Any thoughts on if the OPEC will concede leadership to Russia in coming months and cut its production at the cost of its market share dominance? I have a great anaolgy, in 98 Venezuela gave finger to Opec and wanted to take marketshare. Opec answered by FLOODING the market and in its wake, killed Caracas's attempt by CRUSHING their economy w/ 10-14BBl crude. Market and Economic condition is so fragile, that a price war war and flood of increased production will not only take crude below 18, but will have long term effect on OSX. Many people back in 98, and 99 said crude would stay in the 10-14 levels and thus take w/ it many OSX companies similar to what happened in late 70's and early 80's when OPEC took control of world production. Its very interesting to look at how many drillers there were and oil service company's at that time. Today we have the remains, but I wonder w/ the NG already pinching this group, can many SURVIVE a prolonged price war, w/ a continued recession? Very intersting times!!
