Take heart, friend. No pain, no gain. And don't be so hard on yourself. You're going through what I suspect most traders have, and many reportedly relapse to periodically. Jung said that "All psychology is autobiography." By extension, since trading is psychology, all trading is autobiographical. I presume from your reference to addiction you have read Alex Elder's book. No one has ever expressed the connection between trading, psychology, and addiction better. Believe me, I can relate. At least you were a smoker!

I think your decision not to countertrade is a wise one. May I suggest an indicator for the current direction of the day? I use the 75sma. Slap 15 and 75 sma's up on one minute and you can't help but see a system. I believe I shared my daily mantra with you earlier. I suggest you compose one and tape it on your screen. May or may not be trading tomorrow. Got some hot job prospects. Bon courage!
