Levitt - talking about accountabilty? That's an obvious diversion from his failure to do his job. The SEC's exemptions - under Levitt - appear to have allowed most of what Enron did to hide its condition from investors.

The article and statements make clear that had the SEC not granted the exemptions, Enron could not have done what it did.

Conjecture and a diversion. Had Levitt done his job, we surely would have seen a different picture.

You have it backwards, Congress refused Enron the favors that the CLinton SEC granted.

Levitt's SEC allowed Enron to do an end run around Congress - apparently leading to all the problems.
