CIs Defined: Thanks, I had the original post hidden and didn't realize there was material explaining the system. BTW, I've been working with news surveying techniques since 1969 and studying the various sentiment surveys as well. I also use weekly and monthly stock fund flow data as a contrarian indicator as well. My real dream is to develop leading indicators using sentiment data that will capture the changes in sentiment of slow moving but important classes of investors/traders, such as buy and hold investors and large money managers. No miracles so far, but the system is gradually getting better and I've made some money. Hope this thread allows other info re sentiment in addition to your own indicators.
