Tim, I hear your boss is leaving for Honeywell. You didn't scare him off with your position on gun control, did you? ;~))

tim Re...Its subtly insulting to them if we don't challenge them when we think they are wrong or even acting ridiculously because of racial sensitivity. I will say something is wrong if I think its wrong. The skin color of the person that I am disagreeing with doesn't matter to me.<<<<<<<<<<

The La police Dept. by 1995 had experienced many yrs of distrust between both the blacks and hispanics and the police. If you don't understand the atmosphere of those relations, then you don't understand why the black community had a deep distrust of the police, which had boiled over into the LA riots of the 70s and 80S; complete with the looting of the Korean community and Rodney King. Most blacks distrusted the police, but couldn't prove police tampering with the evidence. OJ's Dream team showed how the police could have done it, and the jurors were ready to eat it up, because they had suspicions. Many things have improved between the police and the black community, since a new black police chief has started to regain the trust of the black community, so it is possible OJ wouldn't have been so lucky today.
