Not all businesses own by Arab Americans and wiring money back and forth from the Middle East were shut down by the FBI. <<<<<<<< It is this sentence: Back then, we had reason to believe that some of that money was finding its way back to bin Laden. For that reason, he certainly should have been watched and I could see even closing him down for a short period of time and scrutinizing his books <<<<<<< which is completely missing in the second paragraph, and in your posts last Oct. The FBI not only had the right, but the obligation to investigate all of the leads given to them. The FBI routinely shuts down certain types of businesses, and certainly a potential matter of national security would have more foundation and urgency than just tax evasion, counterfeiting or even drug selling. I wonder how you'd feel had you had your business shut down for more than 30 days. I suspect you would be screaming your head off, claiming your rights as an American citizen. <<<<< I of course would be angry also, however being a republican, and as you say, a "postule of society"; you can be sure I wouldn't expect your support. He wasn't my friend, I don't know him. Please tell me what other nationalities are having their businesses shut down by the FBI and I will try to rail against those shut downs as well.<<<<< Well, you can probably start with the Italians, as many of the mob businesses are Italian. Then of course there is the black Latino community involved in drug running , and the... I think you get the idea. I understand that the Arab and Muslim American communities pretty much denounced bin Laden. However, someone from one of those communities may be a better person to ask<<<<< Many did after the bombing of Sept 11. However the radical Muslims were active here in the states before the first bombing of the WTC in 93. If the Muslim community had taken a more active role in condemning Bid laden then, we might not have had Sept 11.
