Good points!

I watched Polaroid and RCA die a slow death because of mismanagement and a change in technology in the 70's.

This will happen to Cisco eventually if management goes to sleep like those other companies. Cisco's game is not even half played yet from a technology standpoint so we have a ways to go there.

I'm just more concerned about the world economy at this time. That will determine the rate of buildout and generational improvements in this technology.

Quite right L, I was waxing poetic. Just in case that isn't obvious. Although there's some truth to the meat in the middle.

And I also think you are right that Cisco's in the middle of its product lifecycle.

That being said, on of the neat things about tech IMHO is that looking forwards there is no obvious end. Just an upwards sloping middle as far as the eye can see. Until we look backwards and see that the beginning and end were obvious by the way the middle changed.

More like DEC than RCA, actually.
