Seven summers ago, I (Jim Stedman) interviewed Dave (Van Ronk) during a workshop held at a traditional music festival on the south shore of Lake Superior. Although I didn't record the interview, (one) of his responses remains fresh in my mind... Me: What do you remember about Bob Dylan first landing in NYC? DVR: Well, of course, Pete Seeger was at his most exciteable. he told me, "Ya gotta see this kid from Minnesota!"
