At the risk of disagreeing somewhat with that learned CNBC pundit <g>, I've found that money follows advertising (of the benefits of long-term investing. I use the term advertising loosely, to mean all the forms by which the benefits of long-term investing in stocks are marketed. A majority of such marketing is done by forms other than actual ads. At any rate, such "advertising" has been declining in recent months, especially for the Nasdaq/Tech sector. Since the amount of such "advertising" leads the Market by 1.5 to 2.5 months, we will not see any sustained pick-up in stock fund flows for a month or more, IMHO.
