First decent late buying we have seen since the 8th -- that much-discussed hammer day that some doubted because of this and that. This isn't the same as that day, but I am holding. On NDX, doing a quick check since the middle of November on the late day rallies, we have seen 12 of them where the last 1/3 of the day rallied 15 points or more beyond the end of the middle 1/3. Of those 11 instances, only 5 showed a higher high at the close the next day, although 8 showed a higher high at some point the next day. Doesn't mean that much, but it was easy to check so I did. -g
