i accept yours but point out the fact that what intel advertises as a 2.2 p4 is a 133mhz/2.2ghz/4.4ghz chip (at least). now, to select the 2.2 out of these and assign similar numbers to other slower/faster p4s suggest that these numbers don't stand by themselves in absolute terms but they signify performance. it is strongly suggested that a 2.2g chip is faster (no where near by %10 though) than a 2.0g chip. in this context, one has to consider whether a 2.2g p4 is any faster than a 1.6g athlon.
