This part really reminds me of charting/trading the markets, ggg:

A lesson is repeated until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it (as evidenced by a change in your attitude and behavior), then you can go on to the next lesson.

Roebear, Great piece from Sir John Templeton. I printed it just to read it periodically. By the way, I believe that he is still alive and kicking. I think I heard him on a radio interview about a month ago. Great mind.
