He parried off to say that in his 'undisclosed locations' that, as a 'bird hunter,' he managed to enjoy hunting quail in Texas, and ducks, was it? in Maryland? and some other innocent creature in Wyoming.

I found that particular response strikingly appalling, even within the context of overall bizarre interview.

But he's pandering to the NRA crowd, of course ... the Bush constituency.

Those 'fellow' bird/deer hunters.

The ignorant, rural white-boy-'Deliverance'-style hillbillies who value their guns. Above all else.

Who almost -- but not quite -- voted the Prince Shrub -- into office.
