Two American institutions with rights protected by the Constitution of the United States of America to sue.

And that is what this is about, a lawsuit brought on by Americans that didn't get their way in a decision in which they have a legitimate concern. That doesn't make them right.

You will notice that I don't hurl slanderous accusations their way, but encourage debate even if it takes place in a court of law. And it doesn't make our President the monster to our environment that you and they would have us believe.

When will you learn to quit believing everything you read Mr. Ray? Scepticism is good. Truth seeking is great. Learning all of the facts then basing your decision upon those facts will take you much further.

Now if you want to discuss the damage that fishing gear has on the worlds oceans go ahead. It is like oil in a way. We will use the resource up ( and by "we" I mean mankind)until it is gone. The case for continuing study and funding of fish and shell fish farming is strong. But don't lay blame for the methods of fishing at the feet of Bush. Those methods were there long before him and during Clinton's term. Where was the outcry on this issue then?

It will be interesting to see which way the court decides. Please keep us informed.

PS How does our President "profit" by this

BTW I hadn't ever heard of this Govt department and this is what I found when I did a search of your "OFFICE OF STRATEGIC FISHERIES OVEREXPLOITATION" Seems it doesn't exist.
