Agilent Beats Street by 21 Cents; Hikes Q2 Guidance

Boston, Feb 19, 2002 (MidnightTrader via COMTEX) -- Agilent Technologies (A) tonight reported a loss of $0.29 per share on revenue of $1.43 billion in the first quarter. This compares with revenue of $2.56 billion in the comparable quarter. Analysts expected the company to report a loss of $0.50 per share on revenue of $1.31 billion, according to First Call.
Going forward, the company said it expects to post a loss between $0.20 and $0.30 per share on revenue between $1.45 and $1.55 billion in the second quarter. Currently, analysts expect the company to report a loss of $0.32 per share on revenue of $1.41 billion, according to First Call. Stock is halted. Last trading data from Instinet.
