Jarrett Technology Solutions Adds Infonet as a Strategic Partner
Company Now Able To Provide Global Reach and Flexibility
biz.yahoo.com
KAILUA, Hawaii--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2002--Jarrett Technology Solutions Inc. (JTSI), a provider of hardware, software, system development and connectivity solutions primarily for the Federal government, today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Infonet Services Corporation (NYSE:IN; FSE:IN), a leading provider of global communications services for multinational corporations. JTSI selected Infonet as a partner because the company offers integrated solutions that will complement and expand the infrastructure and inter-base connection services JTSI currently provides, and enable their organization to now offer global turnkey solutions.

JTSI, founded in 1984, was initially a subcontractor to prime contractors on Department of Defense (DoD) projects. By 1988, the company had expanded its customer base to include state and local government agencies as well as commercial companies. For customers ranging from the DoD, Federal Aviation Agency, Tennessee Valley Authority, Department of Education and Department of Energy to Lockheed Services Company and the State of Hawaii, JTSI designs, develops and installs a wide range of military and commercial applications. Within these applications are voice, data and video networks, electronic catalogs, air and ground simulations and multimedia applications.

As Federal agencies have begun to address the need for protected communication within and among their organizations -- and as the impact of the terror attack on September 11th continues to drive the demand for more reliable Internet access and secure communications -- JTSI sought to identify a partner that could provide the global reach and services it required to better support both new and existing customers.

According to Ron Jarrett, Chairman of JTSI, improving communications between agencies and the organizations that supply their services and technology was a major requirement. In evaluating competitive providers, Jarrett determined he wanted a partner with an established global presence that could manage local telecom services, provision direct Internet access, and provide global support in a number of unique locations. In selecting Infonet Jarrett stated, ``Infonet's global reach is very important to us and our customers, and its network performance and speed are excellent. Uptime with Infonet is outstanding and when there is a problem the company's time to resolution is phenomenal,'' he remarked.

Richard Couturier, Infonet's Vice President and General Manager for Government Services, concurs. ``Our relationship with JTSI demonstrates Infonet's ability to provide a secure and reliable communication infrastructure for some very unique and high priority Federal agencies. We are proud to deliver our portfolio of services to JTSI customers,'' he concluded.
