Hahah! Well, the doomsters seem very sure of themselves. Even more so that I do. There is a 0.0000001% chance that I'm wrong. They are 100% certain they are right.

I also offer a double your money back guarantee! I've never yet had to pay out on it either, so that's a very good record.

Thinking of irrational exuberance, if somebody had said in 1930 that there would soon be huge depression, a huge world war, mass murder on a grand scale [something like 100 million from one end of the earth to the other over a few decades], but nevertheless there would be, in Y2K, 6 billion more or less happy and healthy people, who had sent people to the moon, fly 10km high at 1000 kph 400 at a time quarter of the way around the world non-stop, who would have cyberspace delivered to their handheld gadget anywhere on earth, who would be able to change our DNA around to anything we like and generally do lots of wizardly things, with the Dow at 10,000 and wealth of unbelievable proportions [cars, houses, tvs, great fat bellies, highways around the planet and incomes of US$40,000 being common - with cars costing only a bit of that], you'd think they were nuts and totally off the planet irrationally exuberant.

Well, you ain't seen nuttin' yet! We have only been fiddling until now. We've just zipped past the cusp. We are escaping the biosphere and the red in tooth and claw DNA chains which have bound us forever. We are now in the process of creating our own reality.

And THAT will be a LOT of fun.

If you think that's irrationally exuberant, you could always grab a gold cross and clutch it tightly to save yourself from the scary stuff which malevolent nature is sneaking up on you. Actually, nature is indifferent. There are no ghosts. Wildly enthusiastic exuberance is the normal state we should be in. We just make the odd mistake and skin a few knees...

Well, that's life in the fast lane. It's amazing how those 0.0000001% odds can come in.
