8:35AM: The pre-market tone remains mixed. S&P futures at 1179, trade two points under fair value while the Nasdaq 100 pre-market indicator is higher by 0.6 points. The modestly favorable tone on the Nasdaq follows upwardly revised guidance by communications chip maker Xilinx (XLNX) last night. Shares in the company are getting a boost after management stated that it expects March quarter revenues to be up approximately 10% sequentially. This translates to revenue in the area of $251 million versus the current consensus estimate of $237 million. Prior to the revised guidance, Xilinx had been expecting low single-digit sequential revenue growth.
