News Corp: To Pay Cash, Shares To WorldCom

SYDNEY (Dow Jones) News Corp. (NWS), an international news and media company from Australia , said Thursday it will issue 121.2 million preferred limited- voting ordinary shares to a unit of U.S. telecommunications group WorldCom Inc. (NasdaqNM: WCOM - news) (WCOM).

In addition to that share parcel, valued at US$680 million, News Corp. will pay WorldCom US$250 million cash.
