There are a lot of reasons. The degredation of terms of debate, lack of consideration, lack of common sense, a need to defile those around themselves due to low self-esteem, etc. This is a hangover from years of disgusting publicity for Clinton's personal actions. Some people love that stuff, and want to be sure it's in the face of everyone else. At least with this administration we're talking about more important things like death and taxes. Unfortunately, we seem to have more of both.
