Thanks. Made me think.

Of course, I know I'm doing myself a big disservice here. I mean, I'd like to be one of the overpaid hired help. I've enjoyed it immensely and expect (nay, demand) to be well compensated into the future.

And in pointing out to shareholders that they may not want to be paying folks like me so much... well, taking bread from my mouth.

Thinking about this for a second, no wonder you were run from the thread. Too many people with too many vested (or unvested or otherwise unexercised) interests.

Yet another example of conflict of interest at work. Folks see the truth but don't want it known for how it might affect them personally. And so encourage shadows to persist. And in these shadows others will always lurk.

Yes, I am conflicted. Very much so. 'Cause if anyone really hears what I have to say, then my ability to slurp from this stock option trough will be seriously impaired.

But I figure it would be rather shallow of me to sacrifice knowledge on the altar of self-interest.

Or maybe dumb. One of the two.

Now, maybe if it was my job to keep this knowledge to myself, that would be a different matter. Someone could tell Cisco. I can be bought :o)

John.
