Roebear - I definitively think that most participants would be better served with a slow increase of PoG prices.
Hedgers, banks, forward traders have some specific levels set. Every 2 or 3 Dollars.
Harsh moves as the $9 rally of Feb 5th makes many of them lose money.
(Coincidentally, yesterday's an today's action on the futures corrected that rally, I do not believe in coincidences when talking about money, love or war <g>).
$292 level was widely expected as the year 2002 mid price.
Now, participants have to settle for 297, if not 300+
Still reading they expect PoG to swindle 280-335.
Would be too easy and will fail IMHO.
LT trend is up, all I don't know is the speed of it.

Btw: Fleckenstein has Dow and Gold crossing @3000. grantsinvestor.com
Take your pick. LOL.
