There have been peace offers from the Arab leaders (including most importantly the Palestinians' leaders, the PLO) and the entire world, except for the U.S., for several decades, centered on UN 242. If Israel would accept this, then the conflict would effectively end.

And how, pray tell, do you oppose someone's forefathers?

By existing and refusing to be "spirited away" by the Zionists (in the words of the founder of Zionism, Herzl).
