Here's a little Options-101 for you, sTeViE. If you don't exercise your options after a certain period of time, they will expire worthless. Barrett's strike price was $1.63, which had to have been about 5 splits ago, which would have made his options 8-10 years old. That's just about the time when options expire, so it's kind of understandable that Craig would have liked to exercise them. Besides, 444,000 options is only 15% of Barrett's total holdings. Maybe you should be fishing over at AMD's inside traders, instead, since they have already shown in the past that they are willing to dump shares right before bad news.
