Zeev-
Not only are the turnips sweet, but you are also doing a great job of making clear what you can and cannot call, describing the quality of your predictions so that we can use them properly and so that we can see the difference between the long-term, rougher variety and the more fine and specific "Run for the hills" type. To criticize you for calling a 1720 bottom when we may go lower would be ridiculous as that was a long-term call open to change as events develop.Your intention was to say that we had not hit a bottom and had more to go. 1720 was just an educated guess open to change.

If the market had turned bullish at 1:30 today, then, your run for the hills call would have been open to criticism, I believe. I think you are doing a great job of telling us what to expect from your calls. Perhaps, this is the silver lining to the trolls. They force us to be clear and state ourselves over and over again until our intentions cannot be misconstrued.

I have us turning before that, 1650 is a real major support, I think that 1690 plus minus 10 is the next turn area, and if we get some "desperation", then the real bottom prior to the , "still expected" spring rally. Until I see the "colors" of that bottom, I cannot "call" it ahead of time

Can you comment on "colors of that bottom"
I presume you might mean tick count but tell us what colors you mean.

M

Zeev I think a critical level for the market is the 2001 september 17 high which has been a resistance tested on october 4 and which has been successfully tested as a support on october 17 after we gap over it on october 11. This level is around QQQ 32.5 32.75 and 1627 COMPQ. QQQ=NDX is really closer to that level (3%) than is Compq ( 5.5%)
