If I just followed your advice to a "T" I would do great. It's when I go off on my own merry way I get in trouble :-)

Zeev, I was going to mention that NYSE tic of -1000. The COMP was in the -900 range, but has yet to hit that number. We need a couple more days like that and I think we can put a halt to this slide. Maybe next week Monday and Tuesday will do it.

Zeev, you know when to hold them and know when to fold them. What is amazing is you were loaded to the gills with longs and got out just before the dump.

p.s. this is what I was saying around the same time but your call was better since you stay with the longs just before change of market direction.

I did not see it Jean. I am going flat now and may not trade rest of day. CSCO did not even budge when the futures moved up. DOW has problem moving over 10K.

Zeev re: we are rapidly approaching (time wise) the late February/early March bottom.
I'm in the process of doing my weekend analysis, but signs of an upturn in Long-Term Stock Market Expectations (1.5 to 2.5 month lead) are starting to emerge. The comparable Nasdaq indicator shows some slight evidence of improvement as well. The bottom in sentiment seems centered at the start of February, therefore, I see an important low between mid-March and mid-April, with the Nasdaq downtrend continuing to be deeper until then (as I predicted two weeks ago). After that, I agree that we'll start a new rally phase.
