I didn't know he was disparaging Oz- but then I skip almost anything longer than a few paragraphs. I love the OZ books. Ozma of Oz is one of my favorites- I think that is the book with the Flatheads in it. And Glinda of Oz was good too- There was this very cool city that could be raised or lowered, it was in the middle of a lake. Very nifty idea. Maybe he isn't familiar with the series. I find most people are woefully ignorant when it comes to children's literature (well, all literature, come to that).
