I heard that it may affect the tourists view, or something silly like that.

JEB, Governor Bush is all for drilling, if it is far enough off the coast not to be an eyesore to the tourist trade, which is the number one industry of the state, but the legislature has blocked the move based on uproars from environmental whackos, and the elderly that just want to look at the sunset, and collect their social security. The support for offshore drilling is slowly growing in the state, and may not be too far away.
