Thanks for the volume info, I should've know that. I don't like to use a major index volume because of dilution, too many companies. QQQ is only 100 companies and it mirrors the major index and at times leads it.

I use NQ emini and VIX for day trading QQQ. Works great for me.

Not sure what you mean about NDX and QQQ spreads being similar. NDX has no spread

I'm referring to the price spread, high minus low. Wide and narrow price spreads on QQQ matches NDX.

I base my trades on what should happen......If it doesn't I go to plan B. :)

Interesting issue on Nas vol vs. QQQ vol - both for assessing the NDX and the Qs.

Inspired me to do a chart comparing them over a longer time frame.

I think you could argue that Nas vol indicates distribution at market tops in a way that Qs vol tends to conceal.
