I am surprised that it went as far as it did. I always believed there is a limit to how much time is going to be donated at the expense of time spent with families or other worthy causes such as getting drunk and trying to get laid - oops, scratch all of what I said, I forgot the profile of a typical Linux developer, who does none of that. Referring to it in the past tense, and the rest of your sentence, is something of a cheap shot. Maybe you don't have a point after all? Neil.
