Shack, I just got those DJX puts because I had some cash left over from my NDX puts purchased at around 1:40PM and it was too late to put more techs, so I saw the Dow still sitting near the HOD and ripe for the picking. Just dumb luck, as I had no confidence the Dow would follow the techs down as it was doing its own thing all day.

Did you see that post from Paul Shread indicating the average futures price for the Dow is 9800-9850 for March? That means that unless there is a big drop before then, that level should be defended going into March expiration. It kind of puts a damper on the big down, unless it happens over the course of a week and reverses back in the same manner.
