except that the russian could be innocent. that blood count can come from training in altitude... which they did.

not saying she is innocent, but unlike finding traces of a drug, this is a symptom they found (increased level of hemoglobin) that MAY indicate blood doping. There certainly have been cases where levels over 15 have occurred without assistance.

however, their protest is not so much about the dq. they are upset that they were not informed with enough time to replace her on the relay team. They would indeed have medalled without her. I'll give them that one.
