Hi MrB,

Doesn't really matter to me... From now on, every time I see someone drinking a refreshing glass of pineapple juice, I'll just sit there and ponder the possibilities... Pass me another V-8 please?

Fruit cocktail

We have that type of urban fairy tale floating around in Canada also. Up here it is not the unfortunate pineapple that is plagued with rumour, it is the quince. The quince, because of it's size, colour and odor has some obvious associations that are impolite to bring up in public.

On the other hand it was soon discovered that lilies of the valley, privet laurel, and lilac produced poisonous wines. In those days the lethality of a new wine could only be discovered by trial and fatal error.
