Windsock - Re: "McGrath said that the design was good because the work kept getting "easier and easier" as time continued.
Wonder what happened to "easier and easier" in the last 17 months? "

Good question !!!

Now - MAD is trying to hire some designers for the chip sets they announced yesterday !!

"One
The "Hammer" K8 Platform architecture team at AMD is looking to add a interconnect silicon engineer to work in hypertransport technologies. I am looking for an engineer with many years of experience in high speed digital design at the system level including bus level protocols and electrical specifications/design/characterization of high speed low swing differential signaling. This person should also be familiar with PC platform architectures.

Two
Signal Integrity design and analysis of leading edge microprocessor and core logic chip packages and systems. Build 2D and 3D analog models using EDA tools and perform analysis of both signal and power delivery systems in high speed digital systems including packages, system board, connectors, and cables.

AMD hunting for Hammer silicon engineers

Hypetransport vacancies galore
By Mike Magee, 22/02/2002 08:49:33 BST

WE REPORTED YESTERDAY there were talks about AMD possibly funding a new startup to help push its Hypetransport bus technology a bit further.
Now we learn from sources that AMD is hunting for staff to fill the gap that API left when it disappeared into the blue yonder at the start of the new year.

This is what the Hammer team is casting about for, and which also gives some clues about what AMD is up to, as well:

We're happy to help AMD out on its recruitment drive just one time more. We've suppressed the contact details but if you are an engineer, drop us a line at the newsdesk and we'll pass the full details on. µ

Hey All!

We here at AMD have several SI design positions open and they involve interesting stuff. (See below)

If you know of someone that is looking or wants a change please have them call me or forward this to them.

Thanks in advance.
