>>What we have here is a VERY sick stock. ... Anybody got any ideas? <<

Brian -

I agree that the stock is very sick. I've been holding it for more than six years, and this is definitely the worst I've seen it.

Unfortunately, my best idea is to sell it two years ago. Since I can't figure out a way to do that retroactively, I guess I'll just hold some more.

The set of product offerings from Citrix is probably as strong or stronger than it has ever been. I think we're just still feeling the after-effects of the drunken orgy of the late nineties, together with the current nervous business environment.

The guidance from the last quarterly conference call didn't help, either.

- Allen

7:52AM Citrix Systems upped by UBS; selling overdone (CTXS): UBS Warburg upgrades to STRONG BUY from Hold. Says concerns over a lower level of PC server industry shipments, increased Microsoft competition and disappointing Jan. sales trends have hammed stock. Believes mgmt adequately reset the earnings bar last month to an achievable level; thinks concerns over Microsoft competition are overdone. Firm has a $25 price target. finance.yahoo.com
